Bounty Logbook Remarks, Oct. 21, 1788

Monday, Oct. 20, 1788

1:00 pm Strong Trade and Cloudy Weather.

4:00 pm Ship pumped and fresh Water put in as already mentioned to ventilate the Ship.

7:00 pm In Fore Topmast Steering Sail and 1st Reefs.

10:00 pmSqually and Rain.

Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1788

4:00 am Light Winds & Cloudy out Reefs and Set all Steering Sails & Royal.

8:00 am Fair Weather and Cloudy. Served Barley & Sugar for Breakfast as usual.

10:00 am Employed cleaning and Airing Ship & Exercising at Small Arms. Fired eight rounds each.

11:00 am Served decoction of the Essence of Malt to all the People complaining of Rheumatism.

12:00 pm At Noon Ditto Weather and a very light Wind. All sails set.
