1:00 pm Fair Weather but the head Sea so great can make very little way against it.

4:00 pm Several Patches of Rock Weed Seen. Cloudy Weather.

11:00 pm Lightning in the NNW.

Wednesday, Sep. 24, 1788

1:00 amSqually. Double Reefed the Fore & Mizen Topsail.

6:00 am Albatrosses and Brown Peterels.

8:00 am Fresh Breezes and Dark Cloudy Weather with Rain. Served Portable Soup in the Oatmeal & Pease as usual and at 11 O'Clock I began to serve Sweet Wort again. Sailmakers repairing the Old Main Topsail in my Cabin.

12:00 pm Fresh Breezes and Cloudy. Main Top Mast and lower Steering Sail set. Few Small Albatrosses.
