4:00 pm Cloudy Weather no observations could be got this afternoon

8:00 pm Fair Weather.

Friday, Aug. 8, 1788

12:00 am Cloudy.

7:00 am Cloudy Weatjer and a dry cold air. Got all the Cables and every thing up from below & cleaned Ship.

9:00 am Served Portable Soup, Krout, and Sweet Wort as yesterday.

10:00 am Trimmed sharp to the wind having smooth water

12:00 pm Cloudy Weather with some intervals of Sun shiine. Got the Cables down and made fires below.
