1:00 pm Hard gales and Rany

3:00 pm Wind shifted suddenly to the WSW.

8:00 pm Gale more moderate out 4th Reefs Main Topsail and set close Reefed Fore Topsail

Saturday, Jul. 19, 1788

12:00 am Fresh Gales and clear Weather.

4:00 am Cloudy Weather and Light Winds out all but 1st Reefs

8:00 am Light Variable Winds and thick Rain with a long swell from the Westward.

12:00 pm Ditto Winds and Cloudy Weather with a damp cold air. I now began to serve Sour Krout to all hands. Dryed and Aired below with Fires. Many Birds and some White Billed Sheerwaters which are the first we have seen on this side the Cape.
