5:00 pm Close Reefed the Fore & triple reefed the Main Topsail, it blowing a Strong Gale.

8:00 pm Hard Gales, handed the Main Topsail & Reefed the Main Sail and handed it.

Wednesday, May. 7, 1788

1:00 am More Moderate set triple reefed Main Topsail.

7:00 am Fresh Gales & Squally. Out 3rd & 2nd Reefs Main Topsail. Up Main Top Gallant Yard. Set Main Topmast Steering Sails. Split Ditto from a severe Squall.
