1:00 pm Fresh Gales and frequent Squalls of Hail & Sleet. All hands attending the Sails being obliged constantly to Clue up.

6:00 pm The Weather Moderating and a prospect of a Fine Night.

9:00 pm Moderate fine Night, out 2nd Reefs.

Tuesday, Apr. 8, 1788

12:00 am Light Wind & fair Weather.

4:00 am Light Winds and Cloudy.

6:00 am Out all Reefs.

8:00 am Drizling Rain.

9:00 am Thick Fogg. Employed in the Hold getting Provisions to hand.

12:00 pm Moderate Breezes and thick Foggy Weather but at Noon it cleared a little; & I got a tolerable Observation.
