Sunday, Apr. 6, 1788

1:00 pm Fresh Gales and open Cloudy Weather with frequent Squalls. In 3rd Main Topsail and Close Reefed the Fore.

8:00 pm Strong Breeze and a Clear Night. Out 4th Reef Fore Topsail.

10:00 pm Heavy Squalls of Sleet & Hail. Close Reefed the Foresail.

Monday, Apr. 7, 1788

6:00 amWore Ship.

8:00 am Fresh Gales and Open Cloudy Weather with Smart Squalls of Hail and Snow.

10:00 am Out 3rd Reefs, & kept all hands employed attending the Sails, which from frequent heavy Squalls were Obliged to be Clued up, but we must now make the most of this unfavorable Wind. Fresh Gale and Fair Weather between the Squalls and a high Sea from the Westward. Under Reef Courses & Double Reef Topsails.
