Moored in Table Bay Cape of Good Hope [1791]

Thursday December 22d 1791

 1 pm: Moderate and hazy weather

 4 pm: Saw the Snow in the offing with the Signal of distress flying – Made the Signal for Assistance and [?] firing Guns, which was suported by the Pitt's sent the Pinnace and Jolly Boat with hawsers &c – [?] – The Snow Warping in – at 7 the boats warped the snow into the bay

10 pm: Fresh breezes and clear weather

 4 am: Moderate breeze

 6 am: Light Airs and hazy weather
Sent the Boats to assist the Snow

 9 am: The Boats returned

12 noon: Moderate and pleasant weather
