[Moored in Table Bay Cape of Good Hope] 1791

Wednesday December 21st

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and pleasant weather

 4 pm: Set up the Topmast & Top Gallant Rigging – employed stowing in the Gun room and cleaning Ship for Sea – Sailed a French Ship – Hoisted in the Launch

 3 am: Made the Signal for unmooring

 4 am: Light Breezes and hazy weather – veered away and unmoored Ship – Hove up both Bowers, warped the ship farther to the North and bore up with the Best Bower in ¼ less 3 Fathoms – handed the Main Top Sail

 8 am: Fresh Breezes and Squally

10 am: (A Fresh Southerly wind at the Eastern end of the Bay)

12 noon: Variable weather
