From Sheerness towards Spithead

Wednesday 13 July 1791

 1 pm: * Light Breezes and fair weather

 2 pm: at 2 PM the pilot left the Ship – The Assistant in Company

 4 pm: At 4 out all Reefs, set Top Gallant Sails and Fore Top Mast Studding Sail – at 5 PM South forland Bore West 1½ Mile

 6 pm: At 6 PM the South Forland NE [?] Miles – at 8 In 1st Reefs of the Topsails – Mustered, and [?] the Ships Company

12 mid: Cloudy – South Forland Lights NNEbN – Sounded 20 fathoms

 4 am: AM at 4 Tacked Ship – South Forland NEbN 2 Miles – Fresh Breezes and cloudy Weather

 8 am: At 8 Dungeness Light House EbS 5 Miles

12 noon: At Noon [Beachy?] Head WBN¼N distant 4 Leagues – Hastings NEbN 3 leagues – Sounded [26?] Fathoms
   Assistant in Company
