 2 pm: Handed the Mainsail

 3 pm: Made Sail the Assistant being come up in her Station

 6 pm: Hazey Weather – Two Divers a Cape Hen and some Rock weed seen

 8 pm: Before Dark down Steering sails in 1st Reef of the Main & Mizen and 2nd of the Fore topsail

12 mid: Thick foggy Weather and a very heavy Dew falling

 2 am: A Man at the Jibboom and each Cathead to look out

 4 am: Moderate Breezes and foggy Weather

 5 am: Out Reefs

 6 am: Fog dispersing set Steering sails

 7 am: Had a transient Sight of a Bird believed to be a Penguin – A Number of Porpoies about the Ship one of which was struck by a Harpoon and got on board

10 am: A number of Albatrosses and Porpoises some Carey Chickens, Silver Birds & Rock weed seen – Sailmakers repairing the Fore topsail unbent yesterday – Sweet Wort served as usual

12 noon: At Noon – Moderate Breezes & foggy Weather All Sail sett – The Assistant in Company
