Bond's Providence Logbook Jun 28, 1793

Remarks &c 28th June 1793

 1 pm: Light breezes and cloudy weather with heavy showers of rain.

 3 pm: In steering sails.

 4 pm: Ditto Weather Dolphin sen. Carey Chicken and other sea birds, with quantities of gulf-weed. Exercised great Guns – Worked the Pumps as usual. At 6 made the Assistants signal to lead during the night – At 7 in 1st reef the Assistant and [?] sail in sight.

 8 pm: At 8 moderate breezes and clear weather

12 mid: Light breezes and fine clear weather

 5 am: Ditto Weather At day light the Assistant, Antelope, Thomas, & Clementson in company – At 5.45 Tacked ship – squally with showers of rain and variable weather. Served the usual breakfast

 8 am: Moderate breezes and fine weather cleaned below. Exercised great Guns.

 9 am: A tangle of sail in the NE quarter – Opened a cask of Pork – Served Krout.

12 noon: Moderate breezes and fine weather Assistant, Antelope, & two Guinea ships before mentioned in company. Broached a cask of spruce beer, on ½ allowance of Spirits
   Latitude Observed 30·16 North.
