Bond's Providence Logbook Oct 21, 1792

Remarks &c from Timor towards St. Helena 21 October 1792

 1 pm: Fresh gales and cloudy weather with haze.

 2 pm: Fair weather heavy sea from the ESE out 2nd reef Top Sails and set steering sails. – Saw Sheerwaters and Flying-fish. People washing and mending Clothes. Carpenters & Sailmakers as before

 6 pm: Dark sky to the Eastward in lower steering sail.

 8 pm: Cloudy. in Fore Top Mast Steering sail

12 mid: Cloudy weather

 4 am: Very hazy weather

 5 am: Set Lower & Fore Top Mast Steering sails

 7 am: Served Portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast

 8 am: Fresh gales with thick hazy weather and Squalls at times Cleaned below and aired with Fires. Mustered the Ships company in Divisions and Performed Divine Service. Served Krout as usual. Saw Gannet Boobies, Man of War birds, and Flying fish.

12 noon: Fresh gales and cloudy weather with haze. The sun out at times – Assistant in company
