Bond's Providence Logbook Oct 15, 1792

Remarks &c towards St. Helena from Timor 15th October 1792

 1 pm: Light airs inclinable to Calm.

 2 pm: Saw a Gannet Boobie and a Shark

 4 pm: Light airs and cloudy weather

 6 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual – In Royals & Top Gallant Steering Sails

 8 pm: Moderate breezes and fine weather

 4 am: Set Royals & Top Gallant Steering sails – saw a Boobie.

 7 am: Served the usual Breakfast – Clean swept and aired ship with Fires – Served Vinegar as customary on Monday's. Bore Cole & Portable Soup thickened with Oatmeal for Dinner. Saw a school of Fish and a Flock of Birds. – Sailmakers employed – Got the Bower anchors higher up – Caught a sand Piper (bird) saw a Sheerwater and some Flying fish

12 noon: Moderate breezes and fine weather with a swell still from the SW – Assistant in company sailing considerably faster than the Providence [?] 7 knot breeze
