Bond's Providence Logbook Oct 16, 1792

Remarks &c Tuesday 16th October 1792

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and fair weather

 2 pm: Saw a number of Porpoises – Sailmakers employed repairing ye Fore steering sail. Served Tobacco to the ships company

 6 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual – In Royals and Top Gallant Steering sails

 8 pm: Clear weather

12 mid: Cloudy.

 4 am: Ditto Weather with a swell from the SW

 5 am: Made all sail. Saw a few Flying fish, a Gannet Boobie and a brown Sheerwater.

 8 am: Served the usual Breakfast of thic Portable Soup Gruel – Up all Chests and Bags; washed the Gun, Orlop and Cockpit decks, and destroyed many Cockroaches by sluicing Salt water – Aired ship with Fires, and served Sour Krout.

12 noon: Moderate breezes and fine weather Assistant in company.
