Bond's Providence Logbook Sep 21, 1792

Remarks &c Friday 21st September 1792

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and fine weather

 2 pm: Saw Gulls and Boobies

 4 pm: Ditto Weather

 5 pm: At 5 Hour.40 Minutes spoke the Assistant. Made ye signal for the Boats to return – At 6 Hour hove to; in Boats and 2nd reef Top sails

 8 pm: Fine clear weather Wore per signal every two hours

10 pm: In 3rd reef Main Top Sail

12 mid: Made ye signal and wore as before every 2 hours

 4 am: Ditto Weather out Boats and sent them to the Assistant as usual.

 6 am: Bore away

 7 am: Served the accustomed Breakfast – Set ye Foresail and Main Top Gallant Sail – Sailmakers employed as yesterday.

10 am: Out all reefs. Saw Porpoises and flying-fish. Set Fore & Fore Top Mast steering sails

12 noon: Moderate breezes and fine weather with haze – Got the Best Bower anchor on the gunwale – Served Portable Soup & Krout in ye Pease for Dinner.
