Bond's Providence Logbook Aug 31, 1792

Remarks &c Friday 31st August 1792

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and fine weather passed a Booby on the water – Saw Tropic birds

 5 pm: Saw a Cary Chicken & flying fish – also 2 Boobies – Shortened sail as usual & spoke ye Assistant – Worked the Pumps

11 pm: Caught this night 3 Noddies and saw several Porpoises

 4 am: Moderate breezes and fine weather with thick haze on the Horizon

 5 am: Made all sail. Saw several Tropic birds sitting on the water.

 8 am: Served the usual breakfast – Saw 2 Gulls & a Cary Chicken – Cleaned below

 9 am: Ditto Weather – Served Portable Soup and Krout in the Pease for Dinner

11 am: Saw large flock of birds of the Gull species; several patches of rock weed – Some Bonettas, flying-fish and Noddies

12 noon: Moderate breezes and fine weather with haze – Assistant in company
   Latitude Observed 9°:27′ South
