Bond's Providence Logbook Jan 27, 1792

Remarks &c towards New Holland 27th January 1792

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and cloudy. At ½ past 1 sent the Jolly boat for Lieutenant Portlock – in boat and made sail

 5 pm: Let water into the ship as customary.

 7 pm: At ½ past 6 sent the Jolly boat to put Lieutenant Portlock on board – in boat & made sail

12 mid: Light airs inclinable to calm

 4 am: Fresh breezes and cloudy

 8 am: People had their usual breakfast, also Krout & Sweet Wort – Cleaned and aired below. Examined the Boats Brews at Small Arms. – Very few birds of any kind seen to day

12 noon: Fresh breezes and fair weather with smooth water.
   Latitude Observed 39°:17′ South
