Bond's Providence Logbook Jan 26, 1792

Remarks &c Thursday 26th January 1792

 1 pm: Light breezes and very fine weather – shortened sail for the Assistant – Unbent and repaired the Fore Top Gallant Sail.

 4 pm: Saw a Shark.

 6 pm: Exercised Marines at Small Arms

 7 pm: Bent Fore Top Gallant Sail. Spoke the Assistant and found all well on board.

12 mid: Ditto Weather

 4 am: Made sail – A fine breezes & cloudy.

 8 am: Fresh breezes and cloudy – cleaned below and aired with fires. Served thick Gruel for breakfast Krout & Wort as usual.

12 noon: Ditto Weather Assistant in company – saw but few birds to day – water very smooth
   Latitude Observed 39°:04′ South
