1 pm: Moderate breezes and hazy weather

 5 pm: Moderate and cloudy, saw several Blue Petterals and Albatrosses – A great swell from the westward.

 8 pm: Squally with rain in Top Gallant & Main Top Mast Steering Sails

12 mid: Fair weather

 1 am: Fresh breezes and thick dark cloudy weather with rain – At 2 Strong gales in 2nd reef Top Sails.

 4 am: Strong gales with squalls, in 3rd reef Fore Top Sail

 5 am: In 3 reef Main, and handed Mizen Topsail.

 8 am: Close reefed the Top Sails and down Top Gallant Yards Shipped a Sea and stove in the larboard Quarter Gallery window – Cleaned below, and got up all wet cloaths to dry

11 am: Saw Albatrosses, Petterals, & Carey's Chickens.

12 noon: Strong gales & fair – Assistant in Company
