Bond's Providence Logbook Jan 8, 1792

Remarks &c towards New Holland 8th January 1792

 1 pm: Fresh gales and cloudy with a heavy sea.

 3 pm: Saw several Brown Sheerwaters, Albatrosses and Blue Petterals. Freshened the ship by letting in 13 inches of water as usual.

 6 pm: More moderate sat Mizen Top Sail, out 4th reefs and hoisted the Jibb.

 8 pm: Moderate and cloudy – out 3rd reefs

 3 am: Out 2nd reefs – Up Top Gallant Yards and set the sails

 8 am: Out 1st reefs

 9 am: Moderate and fine clear weather saw several Petterals – Cleaned below, and mustered ye ships company in Divisions

10 am: Performed Divine Service.

11 am: Served Krout to the people – Assistant in company

12 noon: Moderate breezes & fine weather
   Latitude Observed 37°:30′ South
