Bond's Providence Logbook Dec 28, 1791

Remarks &c Wednesday 28th December 1791

 1 pm: Fresh breezes and cloudy weather at 1 Shortened sail and tryed soundings 185 fathoms no ground – made sail – out 2nd reef Top Sails

 5 pm: Sat Fore Top Mast studding sail

 7 pm: Down studding sail

 8 pm: Moderate and cloudy with a swell from the SW Quarter

10 pm: A very heavy Westerly swell and cross sea – sounded 120 fathoms no ground

 4 am: Saw a sail bearing ESE

 8 am: Sat studding sails – saw several Albatrosses, Sheerwaters &c. Unbent the Cables.

12 noon: Fresh breezes and fine weather with a swell from the Westward Assistant in Company
   Latitude Observed 37°:30′ South
