Bond's Providence Logbook Oct 8, 1791

Remarks &c 8th October 1791

 1 pm: Unsettled weather; saw a vast number of flying fish

 4 pm: Moderate breezes and cloudy saw a tropic bird

 7 pm: In 1st reef Mizen topsail.

 1 am: Fresh gale and fine clear weather

 4 am: Fresh breezes and fair, many flying about the ship. [sic]

 8 am: Cleaned below and aired with fires – People employed washing & mending their clothes, shifting their Hammocks and airing their bedding

12 noon: Served Borecole and broached a cask of spruce beer for the people.
 Assistant in company.
   Latitude Observed 8°:52′ South
