Bond's Providence Logbook Oct 7, 1791

Remarks &c Friday 7th October 1791

 1 pm: Moderate breezes and fair weather saw a number of flying fish

 4 pm: Light squalls and the breeze increasing

 6 pm: Passed what the seamen call the [M?] of the sun (that is, to the south of it)

 8 pm: Fine clear weather. shortened and made sail occasionally for the Assistant

10 pm: Squally with rain

 1 am: Cloudy

 2 am: Moderate breezes with lightning to the southward

 4 am: The water illuminated by shining particles.

 8 am: Moderate and fair saw a tropic bird

 9 am: Set royals – Squally with rain, made & shortened sail as necessary

10 am: Cleaned below and kept Brodies stove lighted. People employed fitting spare sails and making plats and mats.

12 noon: At Noon squally with rain, the Assistant in company
   No Observation
