Providence Logbook Jan 10, 1793

Remarks Thursday 10th January 1793 Towards [St. Vincents]

 1 pm: Squally Weather with frequent hard Rain. Employed attending the Plants. Drying and Airing Ship with Fires.

 5 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual.

 8 pm: This morning I took an account of Our Plants and found as follow.–

Vessels containing Bread Fruit 577 & 731 Plants
On the 31st December last 603 & 778 Plants
Loss 26 &47
Other Plants as before.

 6 am: Saw some Dolphins

 8 am: Fair intervals. Served Hot Breakfast as usual. Cleaned Ship and Aired with Fires.

 9 am: Exercised Great Guns and Small Arms, the Marines fired.

10 am: Dried all Wet Clothes.

12 noon: Cloudy Weather with Squalls and some Rain. In 4th Reefs. Set Fore Top Mast and lower Steering Sails. No Observation
   Assistant in Company.
