Providence Logbook Dec 28, 1792

Remarks Friday 28th December 1792 [Towards] St. Vincents

 1 pm: Moderate and very Cloudy with light showers of Rain.

 5 pm: Let fresh Water into the Ship and worked the Pumps as usual.

 8 pm: Fresh Breezes and very Cloudy Weather

 9 pm: Saw a Noddy.

 5 am: Very Cloudy Weather and pleasant Breeze.

 7 am: Served Hot Breakfast of Portable Soup Gruel as customary, Fresh Beef for Dinner.

 9 am: People employed washing their Clothes, Exercising Great Guns, Sailmakers repairing the Old Fore Sail, Carpenters about the Boats.

12 noon: Ditto Weather. The Sun only to be seen at times.
 Broached a Puncheon of Spruce Beer. All Sails Set.
   Assistant in Company.
