Providence Logbook Dec 11, 1792

Remarks Tuesday 11th December 1792 [Towards] St. Helena

 1 pm: Moderate Breezes and fair Weather

 2 pm: Employed as Yesterday.

 4 pm: A few Oceanic Birds seen and a few Flying Fish.

 6 pm: I had now again crossed the Tropic, I had my Plants counted in order to determine what I have lost in this my middle passage. The numbers now stand.

651 Pots and Tubs of fine Healthy Breadfruit Plants.
4 Sickly
655 Total Vessels containing
830 Plants.
From Otaheite to Timor lost 224 Pots.
From Timor to 7th November 192 Ditto
From 7th November round the Cape to this day 80 Ditto
Total =  496
Besides the above, we have
of Ayyah's lost 1 Pot
of Avees 5 Do.
of Oraiahs 1 Do.
  Of Timor Plants lost.
of Mango 1 Pot
Jambo 2 Do.
Breadfruit 1 Do.
