Providence Logbook Dec 12, 1792

Remarks Wednesday 12th December 1792 Towards [St. Helena]

 1 pm: Moderate Breezes and fine Weather. Opened a Cask of Pork No. 11 Contents 129 Double pieces.

 3 pm: Punished John Curry Seaman with 18 lashes for Thiefing.

 6 pm: Let fresh Water into the Ship and worked the Pumps.
Saw an Albetross

 7 am: Served thick Portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast. Krout in the Pease for Dinner

 8 am: Employed repairing the Rigging, mending Sails and Painting the Quick Work. Saw a Tropic Bird.

10 am: Served Fishing Lines and Hooks to each Mess.

12 noon: Fine Weather and pleasant Air. Served a Puncheon of Spruce Beer. Many Portuguese Men of War (Nautilus) upon the Water.
   Assistant in Company.
