Providence Logbook Nov 23, 1792

Remarks Friday 23d November 1792 [Towards] Cape of Good Hope

 1 pm: Fair Weather and Cloudy.

 2 pm: Saw a Pintada Bird, a few Albetrosses & some Sheerwaters.

 5 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual.

 8 pm: Fresh Gale and Cloudy Weather. In Steering Sails and 1st Reefs.

12 mid: Squally with a little Rain.

 4 am: Tacked.

 8 am: Served Hot Breakfast as usual. Portable Soup in the Pease for Dinner. Krout a half pint per Man.

10 am: Unbent the Fore Top Sail to repair. Cleaned below. Hands about the Rigging. Broached a Puncheon of Spruce Beer.

12 noon: Moderate and fair Weather. Smooth Water.
   Assistant in Company.
