Providence Logbook Nov 20, 1792

Remarks Tuesday 20th November 1792 Towards [Cape of Good Hope]

 1 pm: Moderate Breezes and Cloudy Weather Hazy like a Mist.

 2 pm: Fish and Sea Birds about. Saw a Swallow.

 4 pm: In Steering Sails and trimmed to the Wind.

 6 pm: Let fresh Water into the Ship and Worked the Pumps.

 7 pm: In 1st. Reefs and Tacked.

10 pm: Fine Night with Lightning in the East.

12 mid: Lightning all round. A Fresh Breeze Sprung up.

 8 am: Served thick Portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast. Sour Krout as usual every day.

10 am: Washed and cleaned Ship. Dried thoroughly with Fires.

11 am: Tacked.

12 noon: Moderate and Fair Weather. Albetrosses and Sea Birds about. Hazy Horizon.
