Providence Logbook Nov 19, 1792

Remarks Monday 19th November 1792 [Towards] Cape of Good Hope

 1 pm: Fresh Gale and very Cloudy with Haze.

 2 pm: Saw Pintada Birds.

 4 pm: Some Flocks of Oceanic Birds and Fish about. Shortned Sail for the Assistant.

 5 pm: Worked the Pumps as usual.

 8 pm: Very dark Sky in the West. In 1st. Reefs and Set Fore & Fore Topmast Mast [sic] Steering Sails.

 4 am: Moderate and Cloudy. Out all Reefs and set Top Gallant Studding Sails and Royals.

 7 am: Served Hot Breakfast &c &c as usual on this Day.

 8 am: Opened Cask Pork No. 15 Contents 130 Double Pieces. Saw two Spermaceti Whales and a School of Finners.

 9 am: Aired below with Fires. Broached a Puncheon of Spruce Beer

12 noon: Moderate Breezes and Hazy Weather like a Mist, and a very moist Air
   Assistant in Company.
