Providence Logbook Mar 23, 1792

Remarks Friday 23rd March 1792 Towards Otaheite

 1 pm: Fresh Breezes and fair Weather. Unbent the Main Sail & bent the Old One.—

 6 pm: Let fresh Water into the Ship & worked the pumps

 8 pm: In 2nd Reefs.

 9 pm: Fires all Night to Air Ship

11 pm: Squally in 3rd. Reef Fore Top Sail

 6 am: Fair Weather. Out all Reefs and Set Steering Sails

 7 am: Served thick Portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast Bore Cold and portable Soup in the pease for dinner Sweet Wort at 10 OClock and K[r]out as usual —

10 am: Employed Washing Ship. Mending Sails & Cloaths Working up Junk and Carpenters as Yesterday

11 am: Albetrosses, Sheerwaters & Mother Careys Chicken

12 noon: Fair Weather SW Swell altho the Wind Freshning from the Northward.—
  Assistant in Company and keeps way with us very well.—
