Remarks Thursday 22nd March 1792 Towards Otaheite

 1 pm: Light Winds and fair Weather. Unbent the Storm Stay Sails – Bent the old Fore Sail and Fore Top Mast Stay Sail.—

 4 pm: Exercised at Small Arms

 6 pm: In Steering Sails. Let fresh Water into the hold and Worked the pumps to ventilate the Ship
Very great Swell from the SW —

 9 pm: Fires all Night to Air the Ship

12 mid: Squally in 1st. Reefs

 4 am: Moderate and Cloudy. Scrubbed Hammocks

 6 am: Dark Cloudy Weather Albetrosses Sheerwaters and Mother Careys Chicken

 8 am: Served thick Portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast Krout and Sweet Wort, Bore Cole in the pease for Dinner

10 am: Employed Cleaning Ship Working up Junk mending Sails & Cloaths & Carpenters making Coverings for the Locks on the Quarter Deck Guns

12 noon: Moderate and Fair Weather. Broached a Puncheon of Spruce Beer for the Ships Company. A great Swell from the SW.
