Providence Logbook Mar 19, 1792

Remarks Monday 19th March 1792 Towards Otaheite

 1 pm: Fresh Breezes and Cloudy Weather

 2 pm: many Albetrosses

 6 pm: Let fresh Water into the Ship and worked the Pumps. In 1st. Reefs

 8 pm: Fresh Gales and Squally Weather. Fires all Night to Air Ship

10 pm: In 2nd Reefs

12 mid: The Sea full of luminous blubbers.

 4 am: Out 2nd Reefs

 7 am: Served thick Portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast Krout, Vinegar, and Bore Cole mixed with Portable Soup and Oatmeal for Dinner.—

10 am: Cleaned below – Sailmakers repairing Sails
 Hands Working up Junk

12 noon: Very fresh Gale & Cloudy Weather. Under Single Reefed Top Sail. Many Albetrosses about. Served Spruce Beer to the people as usual a Puncheon for one Days allowance
  A faint Glimmer of the Sun at which gave us Double Altitudes.
   Assistant in Company & keeps tolerable way with us. –
