Providence Logbook Mar 12, 1792

Remarks Monday 12th March 1792 Towards Otaheite

 1 pm: Moderate Breezes and dark Cloudy Weather and Foggy Horizon. Out 2nd. Reefs. —

 6 pm: Dark Cloudy Weather and Misty Horizon Up Top Gallant Yards. Worked the pumps. –

 8 pm: Thick hazy Weather. Fires all Night to Air Ship and dry Cloaths. –

 4 am: Small Rain

 6 am: Constant Rain and Fog.

 8 am: Served thick Portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast – Served Sweet Wort at 10 OClock, Vinegar & Krout as usual & Bore Cole with Portable Soup thickned with Oatmeal for Dinner this being Banyan Day. —

12 noon: Foggy Weather, clearing a little at times. Cleaned and dried with fires. Gave the People a puncheon of Spruce Beer. —
