Providence Logbook Jan 23, 1792

Remarks Monday 23rd January 1792 Towards Van [Diemans Land]

 1 pm: Fresh Gale and Fair Weather

 4 pm: Fresh Breezes and Cloudy up Top Gallant Yards
Hailed the Assistant found all well – veered a peice of Fresh Mutton on board to Mr. Portlock —

 8 pm: Moderate and Cloudy. Fires all Night to air Ship. —

 4 am: Light Winds

 6 am: Set all Sails

 8 am: Fair Weather Washed and cleaned Ship in every part — Dried with Fires — Gave the people a hot breakfast of Portable Soup Gruel —

10 am: Vinegar and Sour Krout as usual —

11 am: Sweet Wort at 11 OClock —

12 noon: Fine Weather. Gave the people a rich Mess of Bore Cole and Portable soup with oatmeal for Dinner.—
