Remarks in Toahroah Harbour Monday 19th. January 1789

Strong Breezes and fair Wr with some Rain. Thunder and Lightning and Calm in the middle part. Wind Westerly and ENE. Therr. 81° to 83¾°.

Employed about the necessary duties of the ship and the Armourer at the Forge.

In the Morning at 2 oClock the Master with Tynah set off for the Bull at Hee,oowow.

Some strangers being about the Bay my Post on shore was put on their guard against theives by Tynah, who most friendly sent them word to keep a good look out. However nothing happened, and it must be a most shamefull neglect if it does as I have always two Centinels about the Plants, besides an Officer on Watch.

Supplies continue very sufficient.
