Bounty Logbook Remarks, Feb. 16, 1789

Remarks in Toahroah Harbour Monday 16th February 1789

Very Squally Weather with heavy Rain at times untill the Morning then Cloudy. Wind ENE Westerly E and ENE. Thermometer 77° to 80°.

AM the Buoy of the Best Bower being sunk hove the anchor up and fixed another.

Sufficient Supplies of Hogs, Breadfruit and Cocoa Nutts. Sick List four Venereals, one man ill of a Cold and one with a Strained Back.

Tynah has now almost every day Cheifs of different parts of the Island on a Visit to him, but it is only a few that he asks off to the Ship to dinner. They have nevertheless a proportionate present when they go away.

I should now begin to Caulk the Ship and fit out but the Weather is so very unsettled I defer it.
