1:00 pm Light Airs and fine Weather. Up Fore Top Gallant Yard and out the Larboard Steering Sails.

6:00 pm All Steering Sails set.

9:00 pm In Larboard Steering Sails.

Thursday, Oct. 2, 1788

8:00 am Served Portable Soup for Breakfast & Dinner as usual and Served Sweet Wort a pint per Man at 11 O'Clock.

10:00 am Got the Long Main Top Gallant Mast up, Sailmakers repairing the Sails. Cleaned below & other Hands making Cable Plats.

12:00 pm Fine pleasant Weather and Calm, took in all Sails. No Birds about of any Kind.
