Saturday, Sep. 13, 1788

1:00 pm Strong Breezes and thick Rainy Weather. Some Albatrosses, Mother Careys Chicken & Blue Peterels about.

7:00 pm Fresh Gale and Rainy Weather obliged to Double Reef the Topsails.

8:00 pm I ordered Fire to be kept in all night to dry the Cloaths.

11:00 pm Wind increasing obliged to close Reef, and handed the Mizen Topsail

Sunday, Sep. 14, 1788

7:00 am More Moderate, set close Reef Mizen Topsail and out 4th & 3d Reefs Main & Fore Topsail.

8:00 am Dark Cloudy Weather. Served Hot Breakfast as usual.

10:00 am Mustered and saw all hands clean & Performed Divine Service

12:00 pm Strong Gales and Dark Cloudy Weather under Double Reefs much Sea from the NW.
