1:00 pm Strong Gales and Squally with Rain and much Sea from the Southward.

3:00 pm More Moderate out 4th & 3d Reefs Main Topsail & 4th Reef Fore Topsail.

5:00 pm Few Birds and the Thermometer rising indicates that the southerly wind is nearly over.

8:00 pm Cloudy Weather with Squalls of Rain and fair intervals.

Saturday, Aug. 16, 1788

8:00 am Cloudy Weather with less Rain and at times a bright Sun.

10:00 am Served Portable Soup and Sweet Wort and dryed and cleaned below with Fires as yesterday.

12:00 pm Fresh Gale & fair Weather under Single Reefs. No Birds.
