1:00 pm Strong Gales and Squally Weather with Rain.

4:00 pm Dark Cloudy Weather.

6:00 pm Squally with Rain. Lightning and distant Thunder

Thursday, Jul. 17, 1788

2:00 am Hard Squalls of Rain.

4:00 am In 2nd Reefs.

8:00 am Dark Cloudy Weather out 2nd Reefs.

9:00 am The air being very damp and cold, I ordered every person to put on additional warm Cloathing. Cleaned & aired below.

12:00 pm Strong Breezes and Cloudy. under single Reefs. Many Pintada and other Birds about as yesterday. Swell from the Westward.
