1:00 pm Fresh Gale and dark Cloudy Weather.

6:00 pmSqually and threatning bad Weather. Down Top Gallant yards & close Reefed the Topsails.

10:00 pm Very severe Squalls and Lightning which obliged us to furl all but the Foresail

Sunday, Jul. 6, 1788

1:00 am Very heavy Rain Thunder & Lightning

5:00 am Light breezes and a confused Sea. Made Sail up main Top Gallant yard, out Reefs and set Fore & Fore Top Mast Steering sail

8:00 am Fair Weather and Cloudy. Mustered the ships Company saw them all Clean. Read the Articles of War Served Fresh mutton to all Hands

12:00 pm Fair Weather and much Head Sea. Some Albatrosses and Sheerwaters about.
