In False Bay Cape of Good Hope

Fair Weather but at times a little Squally. Four Artificers employed from the Shore & our own Carpenters at work repairing the lining & [?] of the Bends & Caulking. Received on board a Craft load of Stone Ballast in lieu of Coals expended. Employed in the Hold & about the Rigging. Received and served fresh Meat as usual.
