1:00 pm Strong Breeze and Dark Cloudy Weather.

4:00 pmBent and set the Mizen Topsail.

6:00 pm Fresh Gale and drizling Rain.

8:00 pm Ditto Weather. In Steering Sails & 1st Reefs.

Wednesday, Apr. 30, 1788

5:00 am Close Reefed Mizen Topsail.

7:00 am Strong Gales with Rain. Handed Fore & Mizen Topsails & Main Sail. Got down Top Gallant Yard & triple Reefed the Main Topsail.

10:00 am Strong Gales & Fair Weather. Employed Scrubbing Hammocks. Opened a Cask of Pork No. 565 Contents 160 Peices short three.

12:00 pm Served Sweet Wort to all Hands & dryed below with Fires.
Ditto Weather. Open Cloudy Weather. Sheerwaters and Pintada Birds about us & different Coloured Albatrosses.
