Tuesday, Feb. 26, 1788

1:00 pm Fresh Breezes and Squally. In 1st Reef Topsails

3:00 pm Fresh Gales & Squally. In 3d Reef Main Topsail & 4th Reef Fore Topsail and handed Mizen Topsail. Much Sea. Some Butterflies and others like what we call Horn Flies blown past us. Some Sheerwaters about.

8:00 pm Fresh gale and fair Weather. out 4th Reef Fore Topsail

10:00 pm Untill One o'clock in the morning Fresh gales and very hard Squalls which obliged us to take in all Sails.

Wednesday, Feb. 27, 1788

2:00 am Not so Squally

4:00 am More Moderate

5:00 am Out 3d and 2nd Reefs

6:00 am Some Squalls small Rain

8:00 am Fair Weather and Cloudy

10:00 am Some Sheerwaters but no other Birds

12:00 pm Ditto Weather a Southerly Swell
