[H M Ship Providence from Timor towards] St. Helena – 1792

Sunday October 14th

 1 pm: Light breezes and fair weather

 3 pm: People employed washing and mending their cloaths – Sailmaker repairing the Main Deck awning – Saw a Shark

 6 pm: An increasing breeze with fine weather – In Royals & Top Gallant Steering Sails – Worked the Pumps as usual

12 mid: Md breeze and fine weather

 5 am: Made all Sail – Swell from SW Quarter

 7 am: Served thick portable Soup Gruel for breakfast

 8 am: Served Krout

10 am: Cleaned below and aired with fires

11 am: Mustered the People in Divisions – Captain Bligh read prayers to the Ships Company

12 noon: Light Airs and fine weather – Swell from the SW Quarter Assistant in Company
   Latitude Observed 11°..05′ South
