Served Fresh Pork, Cocoa Nutts, Bread fruit &c – & received a plentiful Supply of the same Articles – Moored Ship the small Bower Anchor in 12½ fathoms, End of the Reef bearing N83°W Point Venus N22°E The Heads of Tarra from S9°W to S29°W – Extremes of the Island Morea from S68°W to West – Carpenters Caulking the Sides – Loosed Sails to dry – Broached a puncheon of Spruce Beer

Saturday April 14th Moderate breeze and fine weather – Carpenters caulking the Sides – AM Sent a party on Shore with the Botanists to erect a Tent, Received a moderate Supply of Provisions – Served Fresh Pork &c – Loosed Sails to dry – Washed the Ship fore and aft Carpenters Caulking the Sides
