H M S Providence from Adventure Bay Van Diemens [Land towards Otaheite – 1792]

Friday March 30th

 1 pm: Moderate Breezes and fair weather

 2 pm: Exercised the Boats Crews at Small Arms

 4 pm: Sailmaker repairing the Main Top Sail – People about the Quarter nettings

 6 pm: Worked the pumps – In 1st Reefs

 9 pm: Moderate Breeze and fair weather

10 pm: Dark cloudy Sky to the Westward

 1 am: Cloudy

 4 am: Moderate Breeze and cloudy weather a dew falling – Out Reefs

 6 am: Saw some porpoises and a Sheerwater

 7 am: Served thick portable Soup Gruel for Breakfast

 9 am: Cleaned below and aired with the Stoves

10 am: Krout and wort as usual –
Borecole in the Pease for dinner

11 am: People washing their cloaths

12 noon: At Noon moderate and cloudy weather Assistant in Company The water uncommonly Smooth
