Friday 5  First part Moderate & Fair Middle Cloudy Latter Light breezes & Foggy PM Tacked Ship Occasionally AM Served Slops to the Ships Company . . . Passed His Majestys Ship Winchelsea At Noon in Company with the Providence

Saturday 6  First part Light Airs & Foggy Middle & Latter Light Airs Inclinable to Calm PM The Providence boat came on board & we sent Letters by her for the Winchelsea AM Made & Shortened Sail & Tacked Ship Occasionally In Company with the Providence At Noon Praule point at EbN 7 Leagues

Sunday 7  First part Light Airs & fine Weather Middle & Latter Moderate breezes & thick foggy Weather PM Tacked Ship & Made & Shortened Sail Occasionally AM Mustered the Ships Company & Read the Articles of War &c to them Began to Serve Borecole a pound of which was Boiled with the Pease & found exceeding Good At Noon In Company with the Providence

Monday 8  First part Light Airs & Clear Middle Moderate breezes & Cloudy Latter Light breezes & Cloudy PM Made & Shortened Sail Occasionally AM Saw a Sail in the NW At Noon In Company with the Providence

Tuesday 9  First & Middle parts Moderate breezes & Clear Latter rather Cloudy PM Shewed Colours to a Dutch Ship Carpenter making a Top Gallant yard AM Shewed Colours to a Danish Merchant Ship Exercised Great Guns & Served Mustard to the Ships Company At Noon Providence West 2 Miles
